BELFAST / PERSONALLY PLANNED WITH JOSH

The seam. The surface.
The whole seat.

A split seam needs a closer look at the surrounding material. Share the complete seat, the damaged area and the underside; Josh will discuss whether a repair, replacement panel or new cover is the right next step.

THE PIECES / THE PATTERN / THE PLAN

Every detail.
Considered together.

Open each part of the brief. A few useful photographs can make the first conversation much clearer.

How we agree your specification ↗
01See the damage

Show the damage and the surrounding material.

Photograph the full seat and a close view of open seams, worn piping or damaged panels. Include accessible underside details. A failed stitch can be localised, but weakened surrounding material may make a panel replacement or fuller renewal more appropriate.

02Choose the repair

Decide between a local repair and a coordinated renewal.

Agree which details should remain, including panel lines, piping and existing fastenings. Exact matching to aged fabric is not guaranteed. Compare a proposed repair material with the retained upholstery before choosing a patch, replacement panel or complete cover.

03Plan access

Plan the Belfast access and return route.

Provide the exact marina, yard or storage postcode and the person who can provide access. Tell us whether the boat is afloat or ashore and whether it will move during the work. Visits and fitting are arranged individually; this guide does not imply a local branch or marina partnership.

04Agree the return

A clear collection and handover.

Photograph and number removable pieces before dispatch. Same-day UK courier collection is available by confirmed booking; packing, cost, pattern checks, production dates and who receives or fits the pieces are agreed individually. For fixed components, confirm removal responsibilities before dismantling.

BEFORE WORK BEGINS

Practical answers.

Can a split seam be repaired without replacing the whole cover?

It depends on the surrounding material and the construction. Send a close photograph and a wider view of the panel. A seam repair needs sound material to work with; Josh will discuss a replacement panel or cover if a local repair is unsuitable.

Will new material match my existing upholstery?

An aged or weathered cover may differ from a new sample, even with a similar colour name. Compare the proposed material against the retained panels and decide whether a visible repair or a coordinated renewal suits the boat.

Can I send my cushions instead of bringing the boat?

For suitable removable pieces, yes: agree identification, packing, pattern references and return arrangements with Josh first. Fixed components need an individual removal plan.

Do you offer same-day courier collection?

Same-day UK courier collection is available by confirmed booking. Collection availability, transport costs and addresses are agreed individually; this does not mean same-day manufacture.

Do you send pattern material?

Where a paper-template route is appropriate, pattern material and instructions can be arranged. Agree what to trace, orientation, labels and fixing references before making or returning a pattern.

What do you need for a quotation?

Send whole-area and detail photographs, boat location, piece count, desired changes and intended dates. Include accessible underside or fixing views where safe. The scope is assessed before materials, logistics and dates are agreed.
