PORTLAND / YOUR SEATING BRIEF
Plan the pieces for sailing and resting.
You may use the same cockpit differently while sailing, alongside and at anchor. For a Portland enquiry, show the arrangement you use most and any extra cushions or infill pieces brought out when resting. Mark which pieces belong to each layout.
A continuous lounging area can involve several different patterns underneath. Photograph their supports and the joins where the pieces meet. Before increasing the cushion thickness, consider the seating position and practical access. Josh can plan the accepted set around both the everyday layout and any additional arrangement you want to retain.

FAST QUOTES & UK-WIDE COURIER
From your first photograph.
To a carefully planned return.
We coordinate the accepted work, agreed installation and logistics with clear next steps. Portland enquiries are served through agreed collection and visit arrangements; this is not a local branch or showroom.
- 01
Photographs first.
Send your Portland postcode, a whole-set photograph, the number of pieces and the change you want. Include preferred dates so the brief starts with your actual plans.
- 02
Agree the fit.
Josh confirms whether labelled originals, measurements, supplied pattern material or an agreed visit are suitable. Do not discard old pieces or send furniture before that route is agreed.
- 03
Collection & return.
Same-day UK courier collection can be discussed, subject to the route, booking and availability. Packing, transport costs, manufacture and return dates are agreed separately; same-day collection does not mean same-day manufacture.
BEFORE WE BEGIN
The practical details.
Can extra cockpit infill cushions match the main seats?
A coordinated set can be discussed, but the supporting arrangement and exact shapes need checking. Include the infill boards and intended layout in your photographs before the additional pieces are specified.
What should I send for a Portland quote?
Share your postcode, photographs of the complete arrangement and the three details above. Include the piece count, condition and preferred dates. Josh will confirm the scope, material options and pattern or collection route.
Can I keep my existing filling?
Its condition, shape, support and compatibility with the replacement cover need checking. Show the inserts and covers together. Retaining suitable filling or replacing it can be included in the agreed specification.
How do I approve the final fabric?
Explore Spradling, Sunbrella & Agora, then confirm the exact range and physical samples with Josh. Colour, texture, application, availability and the appropriate care guidance form part of the specification before manufacture.
