Say whether the existing cushions collapse, push you too far forward or leave a gap behind your shoulders. Show the sofa in profile so the back angle and usable seat depth are clear.

Photograph the centre, ends and any return. Overlapping back cushions may need different widths from the seats below them, particularly on a corner or curved sofa.
03Agree the filling and opening+
Discuss the desired shape, support and handling before settling on a cover size. Access for removing an insert and the care requirements of the selected fabric belong in the same specification.
