01Map every module+
Photograph the furniture in its usual arrangement and give each frame a short reference. Identify corner units, armless sections and end modules separately even where the seat pads appear similar.
02Show the alternate layout+
If you separate the sofa into chairs or move an ottoman to form a chaise, include that arrangement. Exposed sides, back-cushion overlaps and piping become different design decisions when modules move.
03Keep interchangeable pieces intentional+
Agree which cushions genuinely share a pattern and which must return to a particular position. Record fabric direction across the set, especially for visibly textured or striped material.
