THE BRIEF / CONSIDER EVERY DETAIL

Every piece. In its right place.

A clear label system keeps a cushion set connected from the first photograph to return fitting. Use a short unique reference for each piece and keep the same reference in your notes, photographs and packing list.

THE PRACTICAL DETAILS

One reference, used throughout the project.

01Give every position an identity

Choose a simple sequence such as cockpit seat CS01, cockpit back CB01 and saloon seat SS01. Describe left and right from an agreed viewpoint; onboard port and starboard should not be confused with how a loose cushion looks on a workbench.

02Connect the label to a photograph

Photograph the complete arrangement, then each piece with its reference visible on a separate card. Avoid adhesive labels or marker directly on upholstery unless an agreed labelling method allows it.

03Keep pairs and attachments traceable

Record quantity, orientation and any corresponding loose fittings without mixing similar items. Do not remove fixed hardware simply to create the inventory. Photograph the packed groups and keep a copy of the list for return checks.

BEFORE WORK BEGINS

Your questions,
considered.

Can identical cushions share one number?

Use individual piece references even when a pattern is shared, and note which pieces are believed identical. That makes it easier to reconcile quantities and trace an unexpected difference.

Where should I keep the labels?

Agree the physical labelling method with Josh before dispatch. Your digital inventory and numbered photographs should remain available separately, so a loose packing label does not become the only record.

FAST QUOTES & UK-WIDE COURIER

Send the pictures.
We’ll shape the plan.

Tell Josh about your boat, the pieces to renew and the finish you have in mind. We agree samples, patterns, collection and fitting responsibilities before work begins.

Same-day UK courier collection is available by confirmed booking. It means collection, not manufacture. Cost, packing, access and the return programme are agreed for your pieces. EU collections and onboard visits are planned individually.
