OCEAN BREEZE / BESPOKE YACHT UPHOLSTERY
Boat Seat Repairs & Marine Reupholstery
A split seam. A tired panel. A seat worth keeping. Assess the complete piece, then choose a repair or a considered re-cover.

THE FEEL / THE FIT / THE FINISH
Preserve what works. Renew the upholstery, support and details that need attention.
Share photographs of the worn areas, cushion undersides and existing fixings. Assess the cover, filling and base together before deciding what to retain or replace.
Explore fabric, piping & thread ↗A CLOSER LOOK / PERSONALLY CONSIDERED
Colour is only the beginning. Compare the material in the light of your space, then consider the cushion profile and the finish at its edges.

01 / YOUR PROJECT
A boat seat repair starts with the surrounding upholstery, not just the visible tear. Photograph the damage, the complete seat and its underside. Describe whether the material feels brittle, whether seams are opening elsewhere and whether the foam still provides support. Josh can discuss an initial route from photographs; the final scope may depend on inspecting the piece.
A local repair can be useful where the surrounding cover remains serviceable. When several panels have worn or the existing material has deteriorated, re-covering the complete seat may provide a more coherent result. Colour matching an aged cover is not guaranteed: discuss the material reference and how a replacement panel will sit alongside the retained upholstery.
02 / YOUR PROJECT
A new cover will not resolve collapsed support underneath. Include the foam condition, base and fixing details in the assessment. Helm seats, cockpit backrests and RIB jockey seats have different shapes and ways of attaching; identify the exact piece rather than treating them as interchangeable cushion repairs.
If you want to change the appearance, bring the piping, border stitching and adjacent seating into the brief. A single refurbished seat can be considered alongside the wider cockpit palette, with the fabric, thread and construction agreed before work starts.
03 / YOUR PROJECT
Tell us whether the piece lifts out, is bolted in place or forms part of a fixed seating assembly. Share accessible fixing photographs, but agree responsibility for removal before dismantling anything. For suitable loose pieces, collection and return can be discussed with Josh.
Label every piece and retain an inventory of fittings. Confirm packing, workshop assessment and the return destination first. If the vessel is moving during the work, provide the intended fitting location and the person available to check the finished seat.
PRACTICAL ANSWERS
Possibly, depending on the surrounding cover, access and construction. Discuss the effect of a new panel beside aged material before deciding.
A repair or replacement panel can remain visible. Agree the expected finish and whether a full re-cover would better suit the piece.
Include support and shape in the assessment. New foam or reconstruction can be discussed where appropriate.
