01Replacement upholstery covers, shaped to the piece.

These are tailored covers for seating and cushions, rather than protective covers for an entire boat. Share the cushions in position, their side profiles and accessible undersides. Curved edges, border depth and how adjacent pieces meet all affect the fit.

Existing covers can help establish the starting point, but wear and stretching may have changed their dimensions. Agree whether retained foam, a physical assessment or template material provides the appropriate pattern route.

02Confirm what is being retained.

Replacement covers can suit filling that has the desired shape and support. Describe any sagging, unevenness or discomfort before assuming the foam will remain. Covers with new filling are a different scope and can be discussed together.

Main panels, borders, piping, seams, zips and fixing positions should be specified as one piece. Compare physical samples from the chosen collection and describe whether the seating is exposed, sheltered or used inside.

03Labels and photographs make the return clearer.

Number every section and retain a photograph of its position. Confirm what is being collected: covers, complete cushions or another agreed component. Follow the packing instructions for the actual scope.

Can old covers be used as patterns?

They can inform the assessment. Stretched or damaged fabric may require further measurements or a different pattern route.

Can I replace covers without new foam?

Possibly, if the retained foam has the required profile and support. The condition and desired result are assessed before the scope is agreed.

Can you provide template paper or material?

Yes, for an agreed template route. Josh will confirm the tracing, orientation and labelling instructions first.
